Shree awarded Tau Beta Pi Fellowship

Congratulations to Shree Kumar for receiving the 2020-2021 Tau Beta Pi Fellowship Award. Having been a part of Tau Beta Pi since 2017, Shree has enjoyed the opportunity to mentor junior engineering students. She has served as Vice President of Electees for four semesters and Vice President for two semesters.

Tau Beta Pi is an engineering honors society that recognizes top undergraduate and graduate engineering students across the nation. In receiving this award Shree joins a select group of students who will receive 1 year of graduate research funding with minimal binding rules for them to complete engineering research in their chosen field of study.

Over the next year her research will focus on drug delivery vehicles with therapeutic payloads that are site-specific and targeted at different inflammatory pathways in osteoarthritis. She will also continue her invovlement in mentorship and community service through Tau Beta Pi.
