Our research targets engineering biomaterials capable of presenting biological signals in a site- and/or cell-specific manner within the body. Towards this goal, our team investigates fundamental material-cell interactions to guide the development of targeted drug and cell delivery systems for applications in regenerative medicine and cancer. At the intersection of these two fields are dysfunctional inflammatory mechanisms that propagate tumor development as well as hinder tissue repair/healing. Â
