UF Biomaterials Day 2022
The Sharma Lab was well represented at the 11th Annual UF Biomaterials Day on March 18th, 2022. The theme of this year’s Biomaterials Day was “Scaffolding New Ideas.” Both Suzanne Lightsey, a second year PhD student, and Tiffany Conklin, a first year Master’s student, shared their work and were capable of the adapting to the online format due to a spike in recent COVID-19 cases.
Tiffany prepared a poster on “Controlled Release of CD200 Inhibits Inflammatory Macrophages and Chondrocyte Catabolism.” Suzanne’s work titled “Effect of Hyaluronic Acid on Natural Killer Cell Function in 3D Tumor Microenvironments” was one of ten students selected for oral presentation at this interdisciplinary symposium. Suzanne’s talk was awarded the Outstanding Student Oral Presentation!
