Suzanne passes her Qualifying Exam!

This fall, Suzanne passed her qualifying exam in September by presenting her thesis proposal, titled “3D Models for Interrogating the Effects of Solid Tumor Barriers on Natural Killer Cells.” Many thanks to her committee members, Dr. Ferrall-Fairbanks, Dr. Murfee, and Dr. Siemann for their support and feedback. Over the next several years, Suzanne’s research will focus on engineering 3D models to replicate aspects of the tumor microenvironment to determine targets for natural killer cell immunotherapies. Dr. Sharma is “looking forward to her work advancing 3D tumor models and NK cell immunotherapies.”

Congratulations to Suzanne for completing this milestone!
