BME students awarded 2nd Place in the MICCAI 2023 WiM Inspirational Leadership Legacy competition

Congratulations to Skylar E. Stolte and Kyle B. See from the Fang lab, who were awarded 2nd Place in the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) 2023 Women-in-MICCAI (WiM) Inspirational Leadership Legacy (WILL) competition.

This event is proudly endorsed by the MICCAI Society. The WiM Inspirational Leadership Legacy WILL competition aims to establish a digital legacy for women in the fields of medical imaging and artificial intelligence.

In their competition, Skylar and Kyle conducted an insightful interview with assistant professor Dr. Aprinda Indahlastari from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida. Together, they explored crucial topics related to women in neuroimaging, addressing challenges such as imposter syndrome and the obstacles encountered in implementing AI in medicine.
