BME student, Shannon O’Reilly, receives 2015 University Women’s Club Graduate Student award

Congratulations to BME student, Shannon O’Reilly, one of five UF students who received a 2015 University Women’s Club Graduate Student Award

Established in 1922, the University Women’s Club is an organization comprised of faculty and staff, wives of faculty and staff of the University of Florida, and of women who actively support the mission and goals of the club. Each spring, the University Women’s Club awards $1,000 scholarships to deserving students in honor of the wives of past presidents of the University of Florida as well as wives of distinguished campus leaders. Each of these ladies has served the University during her husband’s career at the University of Florida, and their service is being recognized by the University Women’s Club through the Scholarship Awards.

This award was open to men and women and based on scholastic excellence, character and financial need. Only one student could be nominated per department or program, spanning the entire university.

Shannon will be attending the fall open house at the University Women’s Club to meet the members of the foundation.
