Congrats Dr Accolla!!

Congratulations to Dr Robert Accolla on the successful defense of his PhD dissertation entitled “Engineering Modular Oxygen-generating, Pro-vasculogenic Biomaterial Platforms for Cell-based Therapies”! His work established patent-pending designs in oxygen generating materials and 3D printed scaffolds. His research will elevate the survival of cells in vivo by providing customizable oxygen kinetics to localized implants, while his 3D printed vascularized platforms create stable 3D vascular networks for both in vitro and in vivo applications. We are so grateful Dr Accolla’s substantial contributions to the Stabler lab, the department, and the university! He not only contributed to the research field, but served as a stellar (and award winning!) mentor to so many. You have left an incredible legacy.
