Join us as we celebrate the next generation of biomedical engineers and scientists!

Join us for the 6th Annual Pruitt Research Day as the J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering celebrates its 15th year as a department!

The goals of Pruitt Research Day are to recognize the research efforts of our students and their faculty mentors by showcasing the diversity and growth of research pursuits in the biomedical engineering community, and to honor Dr. J. Crayton Pruitt, Sr. Whether you are a faculty member, an undergraduate or graduate student, a postdoc, research assistant, clinician or industry partner, we hope you’ll participate! Everyone is welcome!

Keynote Speakers:
Dr. Christopher Batich, Professor, UF Materials Science & Engineering
Dr. Anthony Brennan, Professor, UF Materials Science & Engineering

As two of the key figures in the early development of the BME program, Drs. Batich and Brennan will share not only the successes of their own research program, but also reflect on the early days of the biomedical engineering field and BME at UF. They will share specific anecdotes from the vision and beginning of the BME program, to looking toward the future.

Activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Communicore C1-17 with a welcome and the keynote talks. This will be followed by the student oral presentations and lunch. Pruitt Research Day will conclude with a poster session beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Biomedical Sciences Building atrium.
