Ferris selected as the recipient for the 2018 ASB Founders’ Award

Dr. Daniel Ferris, Robert W. Adenbaum Professor and senior associate chair, was recently selected as the recipient for the 2018 American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) Founders’ Award.

The Founders’ Award is given to recognize “scientific accomplishment in biomechanics and excellence in mentoring” and is open to investigators of all disciplines within ASB that are within 20 years of their terminal degree. The award is a recent addition to the society and is intended to honor mid-career accomplishment.

The ASB’s mission is to encourage and foster the exchange of information and ideas among biomechanists working in different disciplines and fields of application, biological sciences, exercise and sports science, health sciences, ergonomics and human factors, and engineering and applied science, and to facilitate the development of biomechanics as a basic and applied science.

Congratulations, Dr. Ferris!
