Medical Device Reprocessing

Health care costs in the United States are on the rise.  Every day thousands of devices are used once and discarded into the waste system.  Hospitals are actively pursuing sustainability practices to reduce the impact on the environment and decrease operating costs.  Medical device reprocessers partner with healthcare providers to help deliver excellent patient care by supplying practical, efficient services designed to optimize the use of financial resources and minimize environmental impact, while maintaining the highest level of product quality and patient safety.  If only 2% of the devices which can be reprocessed were reprocessed, the healthcare system in the United States would save two billion dollars.  The talk will focus on the medical device reprocessing industry including the benefits, challenges, and future opportunities associated with a fast growing market segment.
