Ebony Okafor, Ph.D., Outreach Coordinator, Clinical Assistant Professor, Couseling and Wellness Center, University of Florida

Dr. Ebony Okafor is a recent addition to the staff at the Counseling and Wellness center, where she currently serves as a counselor as well as outreach
coordinator. In her role as outreach coordinator she works in collaboration to support efforts in campus outreach around the topic of mental health. Dr. Okafor transferred from teaching in at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland before begin her tenure here at UF. She received her masters and doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy. Dr. Okafor’s work has a focus on clinical supervision, trauma recovery, psychotherapy for individuals (with a focus on youth and Black individuals), couples, and families, and cultural competency in therapy.
