BME, in partnership with UF’s Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC), will be presenting a forum on students’ mental health at 11am on Wednesday, June 29th in JG32. A free pizza lunch will follow the seminar.
Dr. Jaime Jasser and Dr. Amanda Lawson-Ross from UF’s CWC have graciously agreed to facilitate this presentation and discussion.
This interactive forum will cover:
-Mental health in students (undergraduate and graduate)
-How to recognize warning signs in your friends and classmates
-What to do if you feel someone is in trouble
-What to do if you feel you are in trouble
-The free Kognito training that you can take to facilitate help-seeking behavior
-Resources available at UF
There will also be time for questions and discussion at the end.
