Congratulations to Edmond Olguin who has been selected to participate in the Board of Education (BOE) Summer Fellowship Program!
The BOE program is an outstanding opportunity for newly admitted minority and first generation graduate students to become acquainted with UF. Participants receive a $1,500 stipend, a tuition waiver to enroll in four credit hours of Summer B Semester graduate coursework counting toward their degrees and non-credit preparatory courses in graduate level research and writing.
Current BME Graduate Student, Evelyn Bracho-Sanchez, participated in the BOE program last year and has been selected as a peer advisor to the program this year.
The objectives of the BOE Summer Fellowship Program are:
- To provide academic development opportunities so students can enrich their knowledge of research, statistics, and writing.
- To foster supportive relationships amongst participants, advisors, faculty and staff.
- To acclimate participants to the local and university community.
- To familiarize participants with university offices and resources.
