BME student selected to participate in MSKVIEW Diversity Day

Congratulations to BME Ph.D. student, Angelie Rivera-Rodríguez, who has been selected to participate in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s MSKVIEW Diversity Day on January 27, 2020.

Selected participants in this one-day event will be provided with an all-expenses-paid visit to MSK. During the visit, participants will:

  • learn about the cutting-edge science being conducted at MSK
  • meet MSK faculty in one-on-one sessions and roundtables
  • hear from current trainees about how they decided to conduct their postdoctoral training at MSK
  • receive insights into how to chart their course and navigate their career development beyond graduate school and postgraduate training

Angelie Rivera-Rodríguez researches in the Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory, working on how magnetic nanomaterials can be used in the area of cancer medicine.  Her work will potentially help maximize and/or enhance the cancer medicine therapy outcomes, reduce side effects and improve the quality of life of patients.
