Choosing a faculty advisor

  • PhD students: Select a primary BME faculty member to serve as your minor advisor (Note: Per UF Graduate School policy, your minor advisor must also serve on your Supervisory Committee)
  • MS Thesis students: Select a primary BME faculty member to serve as your minor advisor (Note: Per UF Graduate School policy, your minor advisor must also serve on your Supervisory Committee)
  • MS Non-Thesis students: The J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering Associate Chair of Graduate Studies will serve as your minor representative.

Please complete the graduate minor in BME form and submit to the BME Graduate Academic Advisor at grad@bme.ufl.edu or at their office, Biomedical Sciences Building JG53, for approval.

*Note that students majoring in Nuclear Engineering cannot earn a BME minor due to historical exchanges of credits between these two programs. Non-engineering majors wishing to minor in BME should contact our graduate advisor to petition for consideration as a non-engineering major.
