Molecular Imaging with SPECT/PET

Jason_picPET and SPECT are functional imaging methods that provide information on molecular processes in the human body.  Our laboratory focuses on the development of novel instrumentation and image processing algorithms for PET and SPECT.  Recent work has involved the development of a new gamma camera for 3D molecular imaging of breast cancer.  The ultimate goal of this work is to improve the accuracy of screening methods for breast cancer.
